Eagles: 5 Possible targets at running back in 2018’s NFL Draft
3. Nick Chubb, Georgia Bulldogs
Knee injuries are sometimes a death sentence when discussing running backs. That’s especially true when that injury occurs and said back hasn’t even reached the professional level. Nick Chubb didn’t have the same speed and explosiveness that he originally had upon his return. That’s understandable and perfectly fine. Still, a season that resulted in 1,130 yards and eight touchdowns has quite a few NFL squads salivating.
He’s had an entire off-season to recover, and now, the Georgia Bulldogs‘ 2017 regular season will, partially, serve as Chubb’s audition for NFL scouts and coaches. Based on the results, he could, potentially, work his way into first-round conversations. Currently, it’s believed that he could land anywhere between the first and third round.
What do you think? Is Chubb a definite first rounder, or will he serve as a “steal” in one of the later rounds? Time will tell. The answer is up to him.
