Inside The Iggles:

Here’s what we know about LeGarrette Blount and Chris Long. Both excelled in New England, but one’s a running back who didn’t see the same level of success when he played elsewhere. The other is a defensive end who may be past his prime. Were they truly that important to the Patriots’ championship puzzle last season?

Ziegler:

Both players certainly played parts in helping the team win a title, but neither were irreplaceable. Blount did a nice job in the beginning of the season when Brady was out, but he had plenty of poor games this season. As for Long, he was a solid part of their defensive end rotation. Against both the run and the pass, Long did well for the Patriots, however, he wasn’t an impact player on the defensive side of the ball.
