Could this finally be the year Zach Ertz elevates himself to a consistent fantasy producer? It’s very possible.
Ertz always seems to perform at his best in the final few weeks of the regular season, which inflates his season statistics and, on paper, makes him look much better than his year-long performance indicates. For example, in 2015, Ertz averaged five receptions per game. In the last three games of the season, however, he had an average of 10 receptions per game and racked up 352 yards. In 2016, Ertz had a similar finish to the year, averaging eight receptions in the Eagles’ final five contests.
Clearly, Ertz has the potential to dominate in fantasy leagues. He just needs to do it on a regular basis. Maybe this will be the year he finally puts together a consistent season.
