ITI: It seems as though Vance Joseph has been around the Broncos organization for a while. It also seems as though some wanted him to take over as the head man prior to this season. Is there any truth to that? Who is this guy and what are the expectations for him?

Predominantly Orange:

Coach Joseph has ties to Colorado since he was a quarterback for the Buffaloes and, later, was a defensive backs coach for them. Before the Broncos hired Wade Phillips as their defensive coordinator in 2015, the Broncos wanted to sign Vance to be their defensive coordinator, but the Bengals prevented an interview.

I believe the Broncos were looking to hire someone that could help lead the team after Gary Kubiak retired. He has been a solid guy. I have no issues with him. I think once the team starts getting back on track, he can be a solid coach for this team. We know this team has been looking for a long term answer for head coach since Mike Shanahan was fired after the 2008 season.
