Alshon Jeffery

Code-name: The New Kid On The Block

Alshon Jeffery has given the Eagles their first marquee free-agent signee at the wide receiver position since Terrell Owens. The “New Kid on the Block” is proving to be quite an admiral. As of late, Wentz and Jeffery seem to on the same page, linking for 146 yards and three touchdowns on just eight receptions in the last two games.

Despite his slow start, Jeffery has compiled 35 receptions for 428 yards and is tied for sixth in the league with 5 touchdowns. Through nine weeks, Jeffery already leads the team in targets. As Wentz gets more comfortable with his new weapon, you can bet on Jeffery’s numbers to increase.

If Jeffery is capable of playing a fraction of an inch at the level he did in 2013, where he had over 1,400 yards, 10 touchdowns, and a Pro Bowl nod, the new number one receiver will surely turn some heads moving forward.
