Cowboys could be without Tyron Smith for matchup against Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys could be missing another big piece in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to Dallas this Sunday to take on the Dallas Cowboys for the first time this season. The rivalry picks up where it left off in an important matchup that could give the Eagles a dominant lead in the NFC East with a victory. The Cowboys know that their season could potentially be on the line. With a second consecutive loss, they would be 5-5 and struggling for a spot in the playoffs.
Last week, the Cowboys were without a few key pieces. Running back Ezekiel Elliott was obviously one. But one of the key players they were missing was their All-Pro left tackle, Tyron Smith. He missed the Sunday afternoon matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, which gave quarterback Dak Prescott a tough time under center. Smith’s backup, Chaz Green continuously struggled throughout the day. Prescott was sacked for a total of eight times. The most in the NFL for Week 10.

As Sunday approaches, the Eagles are looking pretty healthy. That could be bad news for the Cowboys as they will be without Elliott and linebacker Sean Lee. Smith also has yet to practice this week as he continues to struggle with his back injury. Chaz Green and Byron Bell were taking up the snaps at left tackle at practice on Wednesday.
No Smith, No Problem…
An absent Tyron Smith means trouble for the Cowboys offense. This week they will face off against one of the best defensive fronts in football. The Eagles will surely be bringing their A-Game in hopes to get revenge for last year’s overtime loss in Dallas.

With the way the Eagles defense has been playing, they have a chance to beat just about any team in the league right now. While the Cowboys are struggling and missing very key pieces, they could put this game away early on Sunday. Obviously, anything can happen. But after seeing what the Falcons did to the Cowboys last Sunday, Thanksgiving could come early for the Eagles defensive line.
