Philadelphia Eagles: 20 Amazing moments from 2017’s season (so far)
4. Philly elects not to “play it safe”.

Forget conventional wisdom with this team. This may not be grammatically correct, but it ain’t happening. Philly’s going on fourth down, attempting two-point conversions and pulling out the trick plays.
In Week 2, they were on the road and facing the Kansas City Chiefs. Late in the first half, they were faced with a decision. They could play conservative and run the clock out, or they could go deep and try to get some points before halftime. Guess which one head coach Doug Pederson did.
Wentz’s deep pass and Ertz’s circus pass will soon be forgotten about thanks to a Jake Elliott’s missed field goal. Still, it’s one of the great plays of 2017. Too bad Philly couldn’t come up with any points.
5. Corey Clement brings the Eagles back even though he shouldn’t have had to.

That says it all. In a game that saw picks by Rasul Douglas and Jalen Mills, there was a lot to be excited about in Week 3. Unfortunately, a late-game collapse would place the Eagles on the wrong end of a 21-14 score and in a spot where they’d be looking up at the New York Giants late in the fourth quarter.
Corey Clement would tie the game with an amazing touchdown run (his first of his NFL career). Then, after exchanging two field goals, an amazing divisional tilt was set up to a moment that’s arguably, spearheaded the Eagles 2017 run.
6. A rookie kicker sets a record.
Remember that decision not to play it safe against Kansas City? Philly would decide to place complete confidence in their second-year signal caller yet again in Week 3. With seven seconds left in the third quarter and with Philly scrimmaging from their own 38 yard line, Wentz wound up and let one go. That pass would find the waiting hands of Alshon Jeffery18 yards down the field.
You all know what happened next, but if you need a reminder, here’s one that should jog your memory.

It never gets old, does it? That’s one that will live on forever. It’s in the history books.
