The Dumpster Fire that is the NFC East.

Would it be a Philadelphia Thanksgiving if we didn’t give thanks to our enemies? The NFC East has been sort of a dumpster fire this season. The offseason Super Bowl contending New York Giants have struggled just to get a single win. The Washington Redskins can’t seem to ever close out a game while the Dallas Cowboys are nothing over the top without their three star players.

It is very clear that the Eagles have had plenty of things go their way in the division this season. They are currently ahead in the NFC East with an impressive four game lead over the Cowboys. At this point, the Redskins are almost irrelevant to Philadelphia after the Eagles swept them and the Giants have zero realistic chance of making the playoffs.

Next: Jake Elliott likely to play against Chicago

At this point of the season, the Eagles are in control of their own destiny. While only a few other teams look like contenders for the NFC leaders, the rest of the East division is struggling to stay relevant in the playoff race. It’s been a while since the Eagles have been in charge of everything and trust us when we say the top feels so much better than the bottom.
