8 Injury free quarters

Philly’s lost their starting quarterback, their starting middle linebacker, their starting left tackle, a kicker and a special teams and third down ace. Two games are left to be played. We just want to see this team get to the playoffs without having to add anyone else to the injured reserve.

On one hand, you want to see them rest players. On the other, you want to see them get everyone some much-needed game reps and get to the postseason healthy. Truthfully, a mixture of both is needed.

Let’s hope no one else gets hurt. We can’t have 12 marvelous quarters if we can’t get through the next eight.

7 Stops on defense

Did we mention our disappointment with how the team’s played on defense recently? Teams are having too much success in the red zone. Drives by opposing teams seem to go on forever. If they don’t, they’re short, but that’s seemingly only because the other team’s scoring quickly on big plays. Maybe it hasn’t been that severe and black and whit, but that’s just how it feels.

We’re asking Santa for some drive-ending turnovers, some three and outs and some timely turnovers.
