Making the case for Doug Pederson as Coach of The Year

Other competition for the award…

The two other coaches that will most likely be candidates for the award, are Los Angeles Rams’ coach Sean McVay, and Vikings’ coach Mike Zimmer. McVay and Zimmer are both very good coaches and could give Pederson a run for his money. However, based on the evidence currently on the table, Pederson just seems like the right choice for the award while being as unbiased as possible.

The funny thing about all of this is nobody predicted Doug to even be mentioned in this category before the season. Former NFL executive Michael Lombardi even called him “unqualified” to be a head coach. Pederson continues to shake off the criticism. The Eagles will try to carry their current momentum into the playoffs, and beyond.
