Nick Foles, QB

Nick Foles has been the talk of the national media for the past week now. Not for good reasons, either. His last two showings have been horrendous, to put it nicely. He threw one touchdown to two interceptions in his last two games. The numbers look bad on their own, but anybody who watched him knows that he is not playing on a playoff caliber level.

The good news for Foles is that he is not the only one. Honestly, no quarterback in the Wild Card round really looked like the teams shining star. The Eagles’ plan to attack the Falcons defense with a tough ground game, which really takes the pressure off of Foles early on.

With two weeks to prepare and get some extra reps with his receivers, Foles should and could look a lot better this week against Atlanta. Head coach Doug Pederson keeps assuring everybody that he is confident in Foles, but he hasn’t shied away from the fact that he will not lean on Foles to throw more than he needs to. Expect to see some adjustments in the offense this week that compliments number nine a little bit better.
