Nick Foles, QB

Let me ask a question: How many times did we hear that the Eagles would lose in the playoffs because Nick Foles is the quarterback? I’m guessing dozens of times, at least. The confidence level for Foles heading into the playoffs between outsiders and even some of the Eagles fan base was zero.

Now, after a near-perfect passing game in the NFC Championship, Foles is the talk of the town. Remember 2013? Good times. We seem to have a glimpse of that superstardom that Foles is capable of turning on when the time is right. Foles is facing the biggest game of his career in a few days and will face off against the best player to ever play the position in Tom Brady.

The difference between Foles and Brady this week will be the strength of defenses. Brady will play one of, if not, the best defense in the NFL. Foles, on the other hand, will play against a struggling New England defense that has been very lenient to their opponents. If Foles can throw another three touchdown passes with a passer rating of 141.4, then the Patriots defense could be in some real trouble.
