Tremaine Edmunds, Virginia Tech

Tremaine Edmunds is a 6’5″, 250-pound giant coming out of Virginia Tech. The first-round lock is a very intriguing prospect for defensive coordinators. Not only is his father a former two-time NFL Pro Bowler, but he drew comparisons to former Chicago Bears hall of fame, Brian Urlacher. How’s that for a comparison?

Edmunds emulates what linebackers used to be back in the day. Athletic, but has a very intimidating size and can play with some strong aggressiveness. We know that Jim Schwartz and the Eagles like more of a quick, instinctive linebacker, but Edmunds is just one of those guys who is considered of a different breed in comparison to other prospects.

Since draft day talks have started, Edmunds jumped around from being a day two prospect, to a day one lock. We’re sure that after the combine, scouts will have him locked in as a first-rounder for sure. His size alone would be too good to pass up. Sprinkle in some of his gameday highlights and teams will be highly impressed.
