Rueben Randle, WR

Rueben Randle isn’t despised in Philadelphia. Mainly because nobody quite seems to remember Randle. There’s a good reason for that since Randle never actually made the active roster. It’s not like the Eagles paid an arm and a leg for him, but the signing turned out to be a complete waste by the time the 2016 season had begun.

To say that the Eagles were struggling with wide receivers that year was an understatement. As crazy as it sounds, Randle was brought in to give the receiving corps a bit of life. He wasn’t exactly a superstar with the New York Giants, but he was coming off two reasonably decent seasons before hitting the free agency market. But after a disappointing start to training camp and the preseason, Randle was cut from the Eagles.

Fortunately, the Eagles learned their lesson that year and patched up the position the following offseason. It’s still shocking to think that at one point in time, the Eagles were relying on a guy like Rueben Randle to come in and play as a WR1. Those were definitely not the days we like to remember.
