Last week, Nick Foles found out that he was being honored in Canton, again.

For a backup quarterback, Nick Foles has a long list of accomplishments throughout his first six seasons in the NFL. It all started back to his historical 13-game stretch with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. Foles ended his Sophomore season with an impressive touchdown to interception ratio of 27-2. With a final passer rating of 119.2, Foles earned himself a spot in the Pro Bowl.

That was just the beginning of Nick Foles crazy NFL journey. In that same season, His uniform from the dominant 49-20 win over the Oakland Raiders was sent to Canton, Ohio to forever live in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Foles tied the single-game touchdown passing record by throwing for seven scores before being taken out. Not bad for a backup, huh?

Four years later we would find out that Foles is a lot more special than we thought. We all know the story, Carson Wentz goes down, Foles comes in. Although he looks shaky at first, he eventually leads the Eagles to Super Bowl LII to dethrone the New England Patriots. Foles, as the MVP, will forever be remembered as one of the backup quarterbacks who accomplished the unthinkable. And once again, Foles has something headed to Canton to be enshrined for forever. Just this time, it involves his daughter, Lily.

Foles’ Reaction to the news:

Hopefully one day NFL Films catches this glorious moment Foles talks about sharing with his daughter and puts it in a documentary. The run that Foles had was nothing short of spectacular. He posted one of the highest playoff passer ratings in history, only sitting behind Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, and future Hall of Famer, Peyton Manning.

It’s highly-doubtful that Foles ever makes the Hall of Fame, considering he is looked at as a backup. But it is obvious that something like this means much more to the 29-year-old quarterback. So if any Eagles fans take a trip out to Canton this summer to see Brian Dawkins get inducted, make sure you go to check out the newest Nick Foles addition.
