2. Nick Foles, our rather tall point guard

At this point, it’s almost impossible to credit the person who broke the story initially, but we can verify that the story has some credence.

Once upon a time, say 2010, several members of the Arizona Wildcats football team took to the court for a pickup game (or two) against the basketball squad. When the game was over, two of them actually, the football squad had come out victorious in both contests.

Nick Foles‘ skill with the round ball has been well documented. Just take a look at this story by ESPN’s Jordan Raanan or this one by Benjamin Hoffman of the New York Times. When, you look at him on the gridiron, it doesn’t seem like he’s overly-athletic, but don’t be fooled. Foles can sneak up on you or blow past you on the basketball court.

Just ask the 2010 Arizona Wildcats basketball team.
