Josh Adams, RB

Meet the Eagles new fan favorite from the 2018 offseason. The Philadelphia fan base loves a good underdog story, and it seems like every year they pick a new undrafted talent to root for. This year, it’s an undrafted running back who was born and raised just an hour from South Philly. Notre Dame’s Josh Adams has everybody’s attention as the fourth game approaches.

Similar to Corey Clement last season, Adams isn’t getting the bulk of the workload, but he is making the most of what he’s got. Last week, Adams didn’t see the field until later on in the second half. The Eagles utilized Wendell Smallwood more than expected, and Adams continued to wait patiently for his chance.

Well, Adams looked impressive once again, as he flashed with a total of only four carries. There’s a good chance that Adams could start on the Eagles offense this week. If not, we can expect to still see him get a solid amount of reps early on regardless. As of right now, Adams seems like a good fit for the Eagles, and there’s a good chance that they will lose him if he’s sent to the practice squad. Another few decent runs and a healthy game should lock Adams in on the final depth chart.
