Tre Sullivan, S

Mark Tre Sullivan down as one of the more disappointing players of the preseason. Sullivan was a practice squad standout last season, who came into this year’s offseason as a potential breakout star. Obviously, we didn’t expect him to beat out Rodney McLeod or Malcolm Jenkins for a starting position, but we did expect him to find some substantial playing time in the rotation.

His preseason has been quite underwhelming. His mistakes have stood out more than his accomplishments, and it’s quite clear that the Eagles don’t really trust trotting him out there during the regular season. The Eagles re-signed Corey Graham as a cushion before the preseason, but it’s apparent that they need Graham now, since Sullivan has been disappointing.

Will he make the team? It’s tough to tell. There’s a possibility that Sullivan remains on the roster while Chris Maragos works on a return, but after that, he might be sent back to the practice squad. Maybe we see something different from Sullivan this week, but we aren’t counting on it.
