Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Takeaways from their win over the Atlanta Falcons
The defense was lights out.
The defense was the bright spot in an ugly game. With Philly struggling on offense, it would be Jim Schwartz‘s guys who would carry the load.
The Eagles’ defense was able to hold Atlanta to 12 points. Part of the reason for that was the fact that Philly’s defensive line was able to push their way into the backfield.
The first drive of the game really set the tone. The Eagles forced a turnover on downs, in the red zone. From there, the Falcons just couldn’t maintain any real consistency. Philly, along with forcing an interception, forced Atlanta to punt on the majority of their drives.
Their biggest stop came in the final minute of regulation. Philly started the game the same they finished it. With a turnover on downs in the red zone.
Some would say the finish mirrored that of the NFC divisional round.
