Alshon Jeffery, WR

We have all seen the hit that the Eagles offense takes when Alshon Jeffery isn’t on the field. But it really hurts when Jeffery is on the field and isn’t playing to his potential. Unfortunately, Jeffery was a bit inconsistent last week. He made a big-time catch one minute, but then dropped another next.

No, last week’s loss was far from Jeffery’s fault, but he didn’t really help much either. He disappeared for the most part, and that just cannot happen. He’s the No. 1 receiver, and Wentz needs him to play his best stretch of football now more than ever.

There’s no doubt in our minds that Jeffery won’t turn things around after last week. Hopefully, he does it quickly, despite a short week. The offense needs a spark, and multiple deep balls to Jeffery could make a significant difference on Thursday. It would be nice to see Wentz and Jeffery find that consistent connection on the field once again.
