Carson Wentz, QB

Let’s get the obvious out of the way here. This Sunday, we get another installment of the Dak Prescott versus Carson Wentz battle. At this point, it’s become public knowledge that Carson Wentz is one of the better young talents in the league, while Prescott has fallen off tremendously since his rookie season. But that doesn’t matter this week. Wentz needs to be the better quarterback on the field for this week and this week alone.

Ever since his comeback, Wentz has been lighting it up. Although he’s made a few boneheaded decisions that resulted in turnovers, he’s ultimately more hot, than he is cold. Being that Wentz is in his third NFL season, he is now expected to carry his team to victory, if need be. With a new weapon on his side, there shouldn’t be any reason why Wentz isn’t the key contributor to an Eagles victory this week.

I’m not talking about just a regular old victory. I’m talking about a blowout. Nobody expects the Cowboys to beat the Eagles, which kind of gives this week’s matchup a trap-game feel. In that case, the Eagles need to come out and win with authority. They have been only able to dominate once this season, and they really need that feeling back in order to make a second-half run.
