Lane Johnson, RT

You may not remember this, but Lane Johnson was not able to play a few weeks back when Dallas came into town. His backup, Halapoulivaati Vaitai was in and getting bullied around by Cowboys star pass rusher, DeMarcus Lawrence. It was expected to happen, and it did. This time around though, Lawrence won’t have it as easy.

Has Johnson been elite this season? That’s debatable. It’s clear that his ankle injury was far more significant than we all thought. Then, he ended up piling on another injury when he sprained his MCL back in London before the bye week. Johnson has been back, and he hasn’t been struggling as much as he did earlier in the season.

This week could arguably be Johnson’s toughest matchup this year. Good thing he’s quite familiar with Lawrence. It won’t be easy, but Johnson has performed well against the Cowboys defensive line in the past. Just having Lane Johnson’s presence on the right side alone should help Carson Wentz out mentally this week. Let’s just hope the injury bug stays away from the offensive line.
