Alshon Jeffery, WR

At this point, we can all agree that when Alshon Jeffery is having a good game, the entire Eagles offense can do some damage. He might not personally have a game over 100 yards, but that’s okay. Alshon has more of a purpose on the offense. His presence on the field alone already creates opportunities for the other wideouts as Foles is more than willing to spread the ball around to the open receiver.

In the playoffs, you want to get the ball to your biggest playmakers. For the Eagles, that guy is Alshon Jeffery. Zach Ertz may be the high-volume producer, but Jeffery is going to be the one that makes the catches that seem impossible on a 50/50 ball. Those kinds of plays not only make it tough on the defense to defend, but it also motivates the offense to do better.

Oh, and we almost forgot to mention that this week could be a revenge game for the former Bears wideout. For some reason, Alshon is not very fond of Chicago, despite the Bears being the team that drafted him years ago out of College. Last season, he had the opportunity to play Chicago and Jeffery snagged five catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. This week, there’s a lot more on the line though as it’s playoffs time on the road. For the first time, Jeffery will play against Chicago in Chicago. Doesn’t it feel like a revenge game is brewing?
