Eagles sign former Chiefs running back, Kareem Hunt

What will the Eagles do according to Bleacher Report? Well, apparently, they will sign former Kansas City Chiefs running back, Kareem Hunt. As you should know by now, Hunt was infamous these days for his incident back in Ohio last year. Hunt ended up getting in some trouble after he was caught kicking a young woman in the face during a hotel altercation in the offseason.

Once the surveillance videos made a round on the internet months after the altercation, the Chiefs decided to release Hunt. As Hunt was expected to be picked up on waivers, he surprisingly went unclaimed shortly after he was cut from Kansas City. Now, Hunt is still waiting for his second chance in the league and may have been speculating that the Eagles are the team that could potentially bring in the troubled running back.

B/R’s take:

"The Philadelphia Eagles happen to be in need of a top-tier running back to better support Carson Wentz and the passing game, and they’ve already been linked to Bell, per Schefter (via NBC Sports Philadelphia). But Hunt will probably be cheaper than Bell as a result of those off-field concerns, which could cause the Eagles to bite."

Will the Eagles take the gamble on Hunt based off of past decisions? It’s tough to tell. If I remember correctly, the Eagles were very confident in passing up on Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon during the draft process as he had a similar incident looming around. If the previous reports about the Eagles shying away from Mixon for that exact reason were true, then the idea of seeing Kareem Hunt with the Eagles will surely be a longshot.
