Ryan Fitzpatrick

First, the Eagles had the Nick Foles magic. Now, they could have Ryan Fitzpatrick aka “Fitzmagic.” For a backup role, experience will outweigh everything. Not only does Fitzpatrick have experience in the league, but he’s managed to compete a lot in the past. Last year especially. Fitzpatrick wasn’t consistently amazing in 2018, but he managed to make things quite difficult for Jamies Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year because he showed some solid flashes early on.

All in all, everybody has come to the conclusion that Fitzpatrick is not a starting quarterback in this league. Similar to Nick Foles though, Fitzpatrick is a really good backup. If Wentz were to get hurt for a game or two, you can rely on Fitzpatrick to be good enough to relieve the Eagles offense and they could possibly do really well with him for a short stretch.

Also, it helps that some of the guys in Tampa were rallying against Winston and for Fitzpatrick last year at one point. It might’ve been a problem for the offense, but it really showed how respected Fitzpatrick is as a quarterback, despite being a backup. He would be a great veteran addition to the Eagles quarterback’s room next season.
