Tevin Coleman

Age: 25

Last Team: Atlanta Falcons

Tevin Coleman knows precisely how to thrive in a system that contains one or two productive backs. With the Atlanta Falcons, Tevin Coleman shared carries with Devonta Freeman. He was never expected to beat out Freeman in the past, but thanks to injuries throughout the 2018 season, Coleman found himself getting a ton of work out of the Atlanta backfield. Now, Coleman will test the Free Agency market for the first time in his career.

Coleman is a versatile back, who can be used on passing downs. However, a bulk of his production came on the ground. Last season, he took on 167 carries for 800 yards and four touchdowns. Despite not getting a ton of targets in the passing game, Coleman still managed to find end zone five more times with receiving touchdowns.

Seeing Coleman’s body of work over the last four seasons as a backup is highly-impressive. And as the market for running backs is slightly dry, Coleman may find himself getting a hefty payday this offseason, similar to how former Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon did last year. The Eagles could probably afford Coleman, but if they intend on drafting a guy somewhat high, then they may not be interested in spending a lot on a back. Although, Coleman would be a nice fit.
