Dak could be a wealthy man soon…

As the Cowboys struggle to lock in Lawrence, they are looking to make their quarterback Dak Prescott a rich man. Not to mention, they just gave a generous contract to veteran tight end Jason Witten, who was just retired last season. We figured they were going to pay Prescott sooner than later, but it’s shocking to see that they aren’t going prioritize Lawrence first since he has earned a new contract and made it very clear that he won’t play on the franchise tag.

Back to Prescott though. Apparently, the rumor is that the Cowboys may end up giving Prescott a deal that contains a salary of $30 million. Quite generous for a guy who has clearly regressed since his stellar rookie season. Maybe a new offensive coordinator will benefit Dak – perhaps not. You never know. However, we do know that the Cowboys aren’t going to beat around the bush on this.

Their owner, Jerry Jones has made it very clear that Dak is going to get a massive payday this offseason, and now we’re just waiting to hear that it went down. So, it’s not a matter of if Prescott gets a long-term extension with Dallas. It’s all a matter of when.
