Josh Bynes

Age: 29

Last Team: Arizona Cardinals

Josh Bynes might be a different kind of situation for the Eagles. Instead of going for a younger prospect with a multi-year deal, they could eye up Bynes for a contract that lasts one or two years. Similar to how Hicks was, Bynes is competent as long as he is available. Considering his age, he could come in as a cheaper option.

The Arizona Cardinals got good use out of Bynes for the last two seasons, especially last year. But considering he only played in 11 games, they figured it was time for his release to take place. Last season, Bynes collected 75 total tackles, five of which for losses. There’s no denying that Bynes is a solid player, but his durability is what makes him less desirable.

We saw the Eagles give an injury-prone linebacker a shot last season on a one-year prove it deal with Corey Nelson, and he ended up getting cut before the regular season. With Bynes, you see that he has eight years of decent production, so that’s not where the question mark surrounding him lies. His health here is the issue.
