Jordan Hicks

Age: 26

Last Team: Philadelphia Eagles

Here’s the thing, Eagles fans – Jordan Hicks is one of the top free agent linebackers available this offseason. If healthy, he’s got the potential to be a top-tier linebacker in the NFL. Was he a bit quiet last season? Sure. But in all reality, he was quietly having a decent season. In 2018, Hicks finished with 91 total tackles. Unfortunately, he only managed to play in 12 games, but he did finish strong when he returned and his playoff debut.

If the Eagles don’t pay Hicks and bring him back, somebody else surely will. There are rumors that the Eagles have interest in Mosley, who may be the top linebacker available. If Mosley’s price tag goes out of the Eagles range, they have to seriously consider bringing Hicks back.

It is difficult to see the number of times that Hicks gets banged up, but at the end of the day, he’s only 26-years-old. Looking at the list of linebackers available this year, most of them either have weaker production in comparison to Hicks, or they have the same durability concerns. Unless the Eagles outbid for Mosley without overpaying a lot, or prioritize linebacker in the draft, it really wouldn’t be that bad of an idea to bring Hicks back into the mix.
