Jordan Howard only cares about winning

The word around Chicago was that Jordan Howard was unhappy with his role because he’s not getting most of the workload. With Tarik Cohen emerging as a rookie in 2017, the Bears had less of a role for Howard over the last two years. While the public believed that was upset he wasn’t getting his fair share of carries and inflating his stats, Howard makes it clear that he’s not worried about any of that. He just wants to win.

In 2016, Howard came second in the NFL for total rushing yards behind Ezekiel Elliott. The following year, he regressed to a little over 1,100 yards. By year three, Howard rushed for just under 1,000 yards. When he was asked about his rookie season, Howard made it clear that he believes those stats don’t mean much. He thinks that defenses weren’t respecting his game, so the pressure was off. And even though Howard had a Pro Bowl season, he wasn’t satisfied.

Despite his third year with the Bears being his worst in terms of statistics, Howard made it clear that 2018 was the most fun that he’s had in the NFL so far. Why did he say that? Because the Bears went to the Playoffs. Winning is fun to Howard, so he wants to do plenty of that while in Philly. Hearing that he’s not concerned with his role is relieving considering the Eagles love to use multiple running backs throughout each game.
