Here are the guys who might join the Eagles’ offense:

Running backs:

Karan Higdon, Michigan Wolverines

Some say Higdon can go between round two and three. Others say ‘The Birds’ want a receiver out of the backfield a la Darren Sproles or Corey Clement. Higdon may not be that guy.

Still, if he’s available when Philly gets ready to draft a tailback, don’t be surprised if you hear his name called.

Josh Jacobs, Alabama Crimson Tide

Anybody who’s anybody has, at one time or another, mentioned Jacobs and tied him to the Eagles. That’s for obvious reasons as Philly clearly wants to strengthen their backfield, and Jacobs is one of the better ones in this class.

Plus he hasn’t been overworked at the collegiate level. ‘Bama keeps churning out backs, and for that reason, Jacobs didn’t see the field consistently until later in his collegiate career.

Wide receivers:

A.J. Brown, Ole Miss Rebels

Here’s that other receiver from the Rebels. D.K. Metcalf gets a ton of attention, and rightfully so, but Brown can play too.

How does 85 receptions for 1,320 yards and six touchdowns as a second option sound? There were some primary receivers who didn’t have that type of production.

Since we’re on the subject of wide receivers, we’ve also learned Philly will host former Arizona State Sun Devils standout N’Keal Harry.
