Here are a few defensive prospects who have stopped by for a visit:

Edge rushers:

Montez Sweat, Mississippi State Bulldogs

It seems very unlikely that Montez Sweat will still be among the available prospects when the Eagles are on the clock at pick 25, but stranger things have happened. Hey Aaron Rodgers was picked 24th.

In the case of Sweat, there isn’t an Eagles fan on Planet Earth who wouldn’t jump out of their seat if they knew Philly was adding Sweat to a rotation that included Brandon Graham, Vinny Curry, Chris Long and Derek Barnett.

Please let this man fall.

L.J. Collier, TCU Horned Frogs

Collier played both inside and outside at TCU and racked up 42 total tackles (27 were solo) and six sacks in his final season for his trouble.

Oshane Ximines, Old Dominion Monarchs

He’s six-foot-three. He weighs 253 pounds, and he ran the 40 in 4.78 seconds. Having him crash into ball carriers has to suck. He also made life horrible for opposing quarterbacks as he tallied 32.5 sacks over the course of his collegiate career.

Defensive tackle:

Ed Oliver, Houston Cougars

Like Sweat, the most realistic way that Oliver ends up in an Eagles jersey is if ‘The Birds’ trade up to get him. As a senior, he racked up 54 total tackles, three sacks and he forced a fumble.

It seems unlikely that he’ll be available past pick 15.
