Safeties:

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Florida Gators

Here’s another name that should be familiar if you’ve paid attention to mock drafts and NFL Scouts. Gardner-Johnson keeps hearing his name linked to ‘The Birds’. Will they actually call his name at pick 25?

Time will tell.

Darnell Savage, Maryland Terrapins

Savage impressed at Maryland from 2015 until 2018. Now, he hopes to hear his name called in the upcoming NFL Draft. 182 total tackles, eight interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, a sack and 13 passes defensed over the course of his 40-game career have probably ensured that won’t be a problem.

Juan Thornhill, Virginia Cavaliers

Yes, we’re talking college football, and we’ve brought up Virginia. Thornhill’s recent sit down with Philly would be why. He played 38 games for the Cavaliers and racked up 208 total tackles (141 were solo).

Add that to 13 career interceptions (six as a senior), 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and 26 passes defensed. NFL.com  compares him to Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Some NFL scouts are giving him second round grades.

Might the Eagles give him a more serious look? We’ll know in less than three weeks. Oh and by the way, did anyone else notice there aren’t any linebackers on this list?
