4. So far, so good with the new guys.

Wentz expressed his pleasure with what he’s seen from JJ Arcega-Whiteside. He had no problem telling us he was excited about seeing him in pads and using that ‘big frame’. He seems equally as charged about Cody Kessler and Clayton Thorson, and now, as one of the elder statesmen on the team, ’11’ seems happy to embrace the role of being a teacher to the new faces in the meeting room.

We can all put a check in that box.

Next. Mack Hollins’ Injury is still a mystery. dark

5. Throw ‘I’m not going to get into specifics’ into the same category as ‘day-to-day’. These are the most overused phrases at Eagles press conferences.

Though Wentz was open throughout the 13 minutes he spent with the Philly media on Tuesday, we did hit a few brick walls. Don’t ask him about his diet. Don’t ask him about the contract negotiations. That’s to be expected on both ends, but if you’re looking for a conversation starter, these two topics will get you nowhere.

It’s like asking head coach Doug Pederson for a timetable on any injury. Figure out a better way to ask the question or just don’t ask the question.
