Who’s ranked higher in terms of contracts?

1. Fletcher Cox, DT

Eagles’ defensive tackle Fletcher Cox is currently the highest paid player on the team, rightfully so. He’s the only guy on the team that currently has a contract that fully exceeds $100 million. That is until the quarterback gets his new deal. In terms of skillset, Cox is the best on the team. And if it weren’t for a defensive tackle dominating in Los Angeles, he’s probably the best defensive lineman in the game.

More Valuable than Jenkins?: Yes

2. Lane Johnson, RT

The Eagles are fortunate enough to have one of the best offensive lines in the game. Lane Johnson is arguably the best player in that unit. Had it not been for a pair of suspensions, Johnson would probably get a lot more recognition around the league, but he’s getting to that point where he’s becoming one of the most respected blockers around. He’s 29-years-old, and he’s been a massive factor for the Eagles’ success over the years.

More Valuable than Jenkins?: Yes

3. Alshon Jeffery, WR

Alshon Jeffery just joined the Eagles’ roster two seasons ago and quickly became the number one target. It wasn’t hard for a top free agent to come in and take the number one spot from this weak group, but it was clear that Jeffery’s production was a major boost over the last two seasons. While Jeffery is good and deserving of his contract, there are times he seems locked up on the field and not being all that productive. We won’t complain about Jeffery’s pay, but if he’s making an average of $13 million a season, Jenkins should be seeing a raise.

More Valuable than Jenkins?: No

4. Zach Ertz, TE

I don’t have to do much explaining here. Zach Ertz is simply one of the best tight ends in the game, and he’s arguably the Eagles’ best weapon on offense. He’s the fourth-highest paid player on the team, and I have no idea where this offense would be without him these last few years.
