Ron Jaworski, also known as “Jaws” in Philly, spent a decade with the Eagles after serving as a backup quarterback during his first few years. The Eagles reaped the benefits of the Los Angeles Rams’ inability to get Jaworski on the field. All in all, his career was quite successful.

Especially with the Eagles, considering he ended up landing in their team Hall of Fame. Though Jaworski, like many Eagles’ quarterbacks, didn’t achieve the highest honor of success by winning the Super Bowl, he was able to do something that a lot of these guys weren’t able to do. That’s just flat out getting to the big game.

Obviously, not everybody on this list was around for the Super Bowl era, but Jaworski was when it was relatively new. And during the 1980 NFL season, Jaworski led the Eagles on a ride, giving Philadelphia one of their more exciting seasons in the Super Bowl era.

That year, the Eagles won the NFC East. Jaworski was gifted his one and only Pro Bowl honors, along with becoming the NFC Player of the Year. The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, but weren’t able to get the job done, as they took a tough loss to the Oakland Raiders.

To this day, Jaworski still sits pretty high on the Eagles’ all-time leaderboard. He comes in second for total passing yards, with 26,963 and second in touchdown passes with 175 total. Nowadays, many know Jaworski for his on-camera personality and having ownership within the AFL. But before all of that, he was slinging touchdown passes for the Eagles in the 1980s.
