On Monday, ‘Jeopardy!’ taught us how a moment in sports, particularly the one surrounding former Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, can inspire everyone.

Guess what guys? The work week is in full swing, and on Tuesday morning around quite a few water coolers and coffee makers in Philly (and all over the country in the Philadelphia Eagles‘ fan base), the subject of conversation is about the Philly’s quarterback position.

Well that isn’t news. Is it?

Here’s that curve ball though. The conversation isn’t about Carson Wentz. It’s about former Eagles and current Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles. Why? He was the answer to a question on ‘Jeopardy!’ on Monday night.

This fell in the category of ESPY Winners as the game show continued its’ 2019 Teen Tournament.

Jeopardy! is one of the longest-running game shows on television. If you’ve ever watched, you’ve probably challenged yourself to see if you can get three or four questions right. Sometimes that happens. Sometimes it doesn’t. Here’s what we know though.

The Eagles are home to some of the smartest fans in all of sports. Some of them may have no interest in competing on Jeopardy!, but even with all of that being said, we have no doubts that this is one of those questions that they would have aced.

The love affair between Philly and ‘9’ will never die. How could it? In a city where their most famous underdog story was about a fictional boxer (Rocky), Foles changed the lives of Eagles fans forever.

He helped deliver the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ its’ first Lombardi Trophy. He did so when no one who watched this team at the beginning of the year thought he’d ever find his way onto the field for that type of moment.

dark. Next. Father’s Day, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Big V

By allowing many Eagles fans to see something they may have thought they’d never see, a Super Bowl victory, he’s catapulted himself into the category of one of Philly’s all-time greats. It’s just nice to see the rest of the country enjoyed the story as well.
