1. Our fears about Ronald Darby are growing wings (pun intended).
We all know about Ronald Darby’s injury history. In spite of that, he entered the free agency period as one of the most sought after corners on the market. He elected to stay in Philly, earning a one-year, $8.5 million contract in the process.
The concern immediately turned to his injury history. Here we are just two days after practice, and Darby can’t go. This is one of those things that needs to turn in a hurry.
2. Jalen Mills suits up but doesn’t participate in team drills.
Jalen Mills is in a contract year, and truthfully, he needs a good camp seeing as how, believe it or not, he could wind up as one of the guys who isn’t assured of a roster spot. That’s not that big of a deal seeing as how, at the start of camp, Philly elected to put him on their PUP (physically unable to perform) list.
He took the field, ready to work, on Friday.
As cool as that is, for both him and the fans, ’31’ has to be a little frustrated seeing as how he’s not participating in team drills. His partner in crime, Darby, didn’t participate either. Philly elected not to have Darby join Mills on the PUP list, but everyone wants to know when these two will be ready to go. Keep an eye or two on both. Trust and believe everyone else will be as well.
