2. Carson Wentz, QB
As expected, Carson Wentz has had a solid camp so far. Though he has had some rough days, which took place recently, the franchise passer made sure to put on a show for the crowd during the Sunday Night Lights session. Philly loves Wentz, but the doubt about him still creeps in many fans’ minds as Nick Foles is gone and starting down in Jacksonville.
The hope is that Wentz’s fourth season can make fans forget about that past, and so far the young quarterback is doing an excellent job of making the doubt surrounding him go away. Wentz was solid in front of the home crowd and was doing all of the positive things he’s done since beginning camp.
However, it’s not all perfect, though. I’ll be honest here — Wentz’s deep ball accuracy could still use some work. Now that he’s got a wideout like DeSean Jackson stretching the field, we’re going to expect Wentz to air the ball out more often in 2019. While he is hitting Jackson for the most part, it’s not always in stride. Hopefully, they will get their timing down before week one though.
