9. Sonny Jurgensen

Here’s one of those names you’d know even if you weren’t a football fan. There’s only one thing that Eagles fans don’t like about Sonny Jurgensen‘s career. He played a lot of good football for the Washington Redskins.

You can’t deny what he did with the Eagles though, including leading them to an NFL Championship over Vince Lombardi‘s Green Bay Packers. He’s a member of the NFL 1960s All-Decade Team, the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, and he’s a co-owner of the NFL’s record for the longest touchdown pass.

8. Donnie ‘Bag of Bones’ Jones

Who knew that it was this easy to love a punter? Donnie Jones owns two of the Eagles’ top three net punting averages and three of the top five gross punting averages. That may not mean much to you, but so what? ‘Bag of Bones’ Jones was the man.

7. Ron Jaworski

Michael Vick or Sean Landeta both could have been placed here as well, but Ron Jaworski gets the nod for leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl.

Vick never won a playoff game in an Eagles jersey. Also, for all that Vick was capable of, Jaworski was probably a little better of a passer.

6. Alex Henery

There’s no way Bubby Brister is going on this list in the number six slot. We refuse. For that reason, Alex Henery gets a well-deserved mention.
