Stop what you are doing, and listen to Kayla daniels singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’. You’ll be glad that you did.

It isn’t always perfect. Things could, sometimes, be better for all of us, but if you’re an American, you have to love this great country that we live in. We can sometimes forget the freedoms that we’re afforded just because we were born in this country or moved here and became a citizen. Just being able to choose whether you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan or a Dallas Cowboys fan is a decision some people in some other countries would love to be able to make.

Who knows why anyone would be a Cowboys fan, but that’s another story for another day.

Every time we place our right hands on our hearts or show up for a football game, hearing the National Anthem brings out something in all of us. Sometimes we disagree on what that is, but being able to do so is also the beauty of being here.

We have the freedom to choose and the right to disagree. Meanwhile, all over the world, our military fights for those rights and makes all of us feel safe enough to go watch a football game with a bunch of people we don’t know.

Prior to the third quarter of August 22nd’s preseason game between the Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens, perhaps the best performance of the night came from someone who isn’t a member of the team or its’ coaching staff. No, the best performance of the night came by a member of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders.

Stop what you are doing, and listen to Kayla Daniels singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’.

It makes you think about how good you’ve got it, doesn’t it? It makes you think about how we can take being able to go to a football game and eat a hotdog for granted, doesn’t it? Truthfully, ladies and gentlemen, there isn’t much else that needs to be said. Well, done Ms. Daniels.
