2. The Miracle at the Meadowlands 2.0

This one doesn’t have to be explained. Well, does it? We’ve talked about this one so many times, that we’ve run out of superlatives and adjectives. Even if that’s true, watching Jackson take this one back never gets old.

Six days before Christmas, Eagles fans got an early present. The Eagles trailed the New York Giants by a score of 31-10 with less than eight minutes to play, but they rallied with three unanswered touchdowns.

With 14 seconds left to play, the Eagles defense forced a Giants punt, and in a game that was now a 31-31 tie, this happened.

See? It never gets old. Jackson’s walk-off punt return was the first and is still the only game-winning punt return on the final play in NFL history. Oh, you want to see the entire game? We’ve got you covered.

1. The prodigal son returns.

After five years, DeSean Jackson has come home. Sure, there were contract disputes, quarterback changes, coaching changes, and straight-up slander by a former Eagles coach who shall remain nameless, but Eagles fans have, once again, pulled those number 10 jerseys out of the closet and thrown them on. ’10’ looks like his old self, and hopefully, we’ll be treated to that same old Jackson magic.

The quarterback has changed since the last go around. So has the coach, but ‘D Jax’ is home. Some have asked ‘what if he isn’t the same guy we remember?’. That’s a fair question. Here’s another. What if he is? Expect more magical moments in 2019.
