3. Josh Perkins, TE

The Eagles have the best tight end duo in the league with Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, hands down. Having Richard Rodgers behind those two seemed great as well expect for there’s one problem — Rodgers cannot stay healthy and on the field.

Rodgers hasn’t played at all this preseason, which gave Josh Perkins a grand opportunity to win that third spot. He flashed some moves in the regular season last year but hasn’t impressed much in the preseason this year. We’ll see if he can change that narrative on Thursday.

4. Alex Ellis, TE

Well, since we’re already on the topic of the temporary third tight end spot, I guess this is a good time to begin discussing Alex Ellis as well. Last week, Ellis found the endzone. Something that Perkins, Will Tye or Richard Rodgers haven’t done at all this preseason.

Like Perkins, Ellis is granted the opportunity to try and make the roster as the third tight end behind Ertz and Goedert. Considering that Perkins hasn’t shown much, Ellis can surely build off of his solid game last week and put himself in front of all other tight ends not named Zach or Dallas.

5. Josh McCown, QB

Last week, Josh McCown entered into the third preseason game with just four practices under his belt. He wasn’t even on the Eagles for more than a week. And guess what? He picked apart the Ravens defense and had a legitimate comeback in the works. He might be old, and he might be a backup, but this guy is fun to watch when he shows his experience on the field.
