Philadelphia Eagles versus Washinton Redskins: 5 areas to watch
4. The Redskins receivers versus Philly’s secondary
Well, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Or, is it the other way around?
Regardless, it would be wise not to forget that Washington has receivers too. We all expect Ronald Darby to go in this one, but you also have to remember it was a game in FedExField during 2017’s regular season where we saw Darby go down with an injury, a non-contact injury.
Jalen Mills is on the PUP list (physically unable to perform). Cre’Von LeBlanc, though recently extended for another season, is on the IR (injured reserve). Though Philly may have Darby available, you can never forget that he can get hurt putting his cleats on, and we’re not sure how he’ll look as he truly continues to get back in the swing of things.
Joining Darby on Sunday will be Rasul Douglas, Sidney Jones, and Avonte Maddox. All are talented, but you have to keep your fingers crossed and hope that no one gets hurt. If Washington can extend some drives, fatigue could factor in down the stretch.
