5. Dallas Goedert scores the first touchdown

Who scores the first touchdown for the Eagles? Will it be DeSean Jackson on a deep ball? Perhaps, Wentz hits his good buddy, Zach Ertz? I believe it will be a tight end, but it will be Dallas Goedert, not Zach Ertz. Last year, Goedert got off to a slow start during his rookie year, but as the season progressed he picked up the pace and got much better.

This season, Goedert might end up being a touchdown machine. We can expect the Eagles to roll with two tight end sets more often than not this year — especially when it comes to the red zone. And while defenses will zero in on Zach Ertz, they will leave the red zone weapon wide open for an easy score quite often.

This week, Washington won’t get the memo. On the first drive, the Eagles will move the ball with authority and get it down to the red zone. That’s when Wentz will hit the sophomore, Dallas Goedert in the back of the end zone for the first score of the Eagles’ 2019 season.
