Here’s an all-time Philadelphia Eagles team fans can be proud of
When the Eagles traded a first and fourth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for Jason Peters in 2009, fans wondered how it would work out. Boy, did it work out! Ever since his arrival, ‘The Bodyguard’ has protected the blindside of a plethora of quarterbacks, including McNabb, Michael Vick, Nick Foles, and Carson Wentz.
He’s also survived three coaching regimes, that of Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, and Doug Pederson.
Despite being injured for most of the 2017 Super Bowl run, Peters is a lock for a spot in Canton. If he isn’t, the selection process has to be changed entirely.
Peters has not only been a reliable blocker, but he has been seen as one of the mentors on the team. Younger players on the Eagles, Andre Dillard for instance, always turn to him for additional coaching and wisdom, and while Philly may have found his successor in the young Dillard, the college tight end turned tackle’s spot on this list is a slam dunk.
128 career games with 128 starts will do that for you.
