Timmy Brown had five kick returns for touchdowns in his illustrious Eagles career.. KR. . Timmy Brown (1960-1967). . team. 54

The team’s all-time leader and kick return yards and touchdowns is a no brainer here. Timmy Brown was a very talented player on some pretty pathetic teams following his first year with the team that won the 1960 NFL Championship.

Brown shined on special teams. Eight years in an Eagles jersey and 169 returns produced 4,483 kick return yards and five touchdowns. He’s more than welcome on this all-time list.

When it comes to Eagles punt returns, DeSean Jackson and Brian Westbrook come to mind. Their game-winners versus the Giants don’t hurt, but the fact of the matter is Brian Mitchell is the team’s all-time leader in punt return yards with 1,369. He was a load to take down and also contributed 3,311 kick return yards as well.

He’ll serve as a nice second option on this squad if Brown can’t go, or you can use them interchangeably and keep the other teams off balance.

team. 54. If the Eagles had 11 guys like Vince Papale on special teams, no one would ever complain.. Special teams. . Vince Papale (1976-1979).

This is Philly’s real-life Rocky. Everyone knows the story thanks to the 2006 film Invincible. Vince Papale came into Eagles camp for an open tryout and made the team as a special teamer.

Why not give him a spot on the team for desire and heart alone? The Eagles themselves thought enough of him to put him on their 75th-Anniversary team, so one might imagine that he’s good enough to make this roster. If Philly had 11 guys him on their special teams unit, they’d rewrite history.

You can put money on that one.
