Here’s an all-time Philadelphia Eagles team fans can be proud of
From the tallest receiver ever to one of the shortest, Hall of Famer Tommy McDonald gets our nod as Philly’s slot receiver. Just imagine the possibilities. The five-foot-nine McDonald may have been the last one on the field to know when it began to rain, but he was the first person any opposing defense had to worry about.
One of the key members of the 1960 Eagles NFL Championship Team, McDonald retired with the second-most touchdowns in NFL history (84), and he was the last non-kicker to play without a face mask. Talk about toughness, especially at that size.
McDonald had one of the best sets of hands in NFL history would, and he’d provide a ton of headaches and sleepless nights for defensive coordinators in the current NFL. As far as resumes go, he owns one of the best an Eagles receiver has ever seen with 287 receptions, 5,499 yards through the air, and 66 touchdowns.
