It’s doubtful that you’re going to find an NFL Power Ranking that doesn’t have the New England Patriots in the top slot. In their first two weeks of action in 2019, they’ve outscored their opponents by a combined score of 76-3.

They haven’t given up a touchdown since the AFC Championship Game, and most importantly, their head coach is still Bill Belichick. Their quarterback is still Tom Brady. As long as that’s the case, it’s going to be difficult to find a game on the rest of their regular-season schedule where they aren’t favored, unless, of course, we’re talking about the game against the second-ranked team on this list.

It’s amazing that a team can fall in a 10-0 hole, go scoreless in the first, third, and fourth quarters and still win by 18 points. That’s just a testament to how good this Kansas City Chiefs team is. Patrick Mahomes is a legitimate MVP candidate. This offense is explosive. Their coach possesses one of the greatest offensive minds in NFL history. All that’s eluded him has been the Super Bowl victory.

Might this be the season that the Chiefs get over the hump? It’s too early to tell, but here’s what we can say definitively. The Patriots and Chiefs will be in the AFC Championship Game if Brady and Mahomes stay healthy.
