5. Nigel Bradham, LB

We have to be honest here; We speculated that the Eagles’ offseason injury-plagued players could have a slow start, but it’s still shocking to see players like Fletcher Cox or Nigel Bradham hand in average performances. Here, we will highlight Bradham’s struggles because he’s expected to be the top dog in an underperforming unit.

Nigel Bradham headlines the linebackers core. He’s played almost every snap for the Eagles over the last two weeks. Over the last two years, Bradham has done an excellent job taking on such a massive role for the Eagles defense as they hardly issue him help from fellow linebackers.

But this year, Bradham doesn’t look as great after Sunday’s game. According to Pro Football Focus, he’s been labeled as one of the bottom-three tacklers in the NFL for the position.

Mix that in with the fact that he’s not-so-great in pass coverage and you have a terrible situation at the position. Bradham is a seasoned veteran, so we expect a lot more from him. He’s shown tons of flashes over the years. He’s not washed up by any means, but he needs to step his game up in the forthcoming weeks in order to help out a thinning defense.
